Types of floods

There are different types of floods. These can also vary greatly depending on the area where we are located. In this section, we will consider 3 important types of floods that we can run into in a country like Switzerland. So, we don’t consider other types of floods, that in general doesn’t concern Switzerland, as the coastal floods for example, which are a type of flood that occurs when seawater penetrates inland and coastal areas and causes damage.
